The chapter plans to ride to this event. Group ride(s) will be posted as the event gets closer, but registration with t-shirts ends 5/27.
Cumberland, Maryland, located in the Allegany Mountain Range, is filled with dense forests, mountain peaks, and beautiful scenery. There will be daily guided and self-guided rides. Explore three centuries of American history along the nation’s first interstate; take a ride on the 1309 steam engine, the largest regularly operating steam locomotive in the country; pay respect to our heroes of 911 with a ride to the Flight 93 Memorial. The riding through the mountains is breathtaking – with twists and turns on rural roads and along the Potomac and Savage Rivers. Enjoy breathtaking views, covered bridges and little-known local points of interest. From mountains to train rails, there is something for everyone to enjoy as we explore the peaks and valleys through Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia and Pennsylvania. In the evenings, visit Canal Place for music, food, and seeing fellow H.O.G. members. With 40+ rides routed, there is something for everyone to enjoy in the mountains of Western Maryland.
